Dulwich College Beijing is the second school to join the Dulwich College International (DCI) network, established in 2005 with an initial enrollment of several hundred students. Currently, Dulwich College Beijing has approximately 1,570 students from over 45 different countries, ranging in age from 3 to 18 years.
The school maintains close ties with Dulwich College, founded in 1619, and collaborates closely with other schools within the DCI network. This partnership encourages students to broaden their international perspectives and build a larger community where academic excellence, creativity, and diversity are valued.
We take pride in our shared heritage with all schools in the EiM International Education Group network and equally cherish the unique traditions that have developed since the school’s founding.
Dulwich College Beijing is not just a British-style school but an international school imbued with the ethos and values of British independent schools, carrying forward Dulwich College’s 400-year legacy of excellence and tradition. These traditions and values shape our culture and are deeply embedded in our actions. They foster our sense of community and are evident in the school’s past, present, and future.
We celebrate various traditions within our community, paying special attention to events like Christmas and Chinese New Year. We also observe significant international events, such as Remembrance Day, honoring the more than 800 “Old Alleynians” (alumni of Dulwich College) who lost their lives in war.
Founder’s Day is an annual event celebrating our connections with Dulwich College and other sister schools worldwide. It offers a unique and memorable day for the community to experience what it means to be part of the Dulwich family.
Every day, through our pastoral care, including our house system and opportunities for young people to confidently express their ideas and develop leadership skills, we exemplify the rich traditions of a distinguished British international school.
